Bookkeeping: June and July

This post is to be a dumping place for photos and happenings in-between larger events.

Friday 24th June: Dinner at the Princess Victoria. Starters of squid and chorizo salad and potted crab. Mains of wild pig sausages and mash and a salmon and pasta bake and then a cherry clafoutis and an affogato for dessert. All up it cost us about £75 with drinks and service, but it was one of the most amazing meals I've had.

Also: Crazy garden belonging to people down the road:

Saturday 25th June: Down to Oxford St and then Liberty and then the crazy M&Ms shop. It's so super tacky and only offers two different kinds of M&Ms - plain and peanut.

Sunday 26th June: Went to Columbia Rd Flower market. It's an amazing market on the East side that has cockneys hawking their wares and pretty indie stores. That night I went out to a gig at Hoxton Square with an indie music meetup group that I've been hanging out with. It was an incredibly hot and fine day.

Monday 27th: Hungover at work, but Phill took  some of us out to this nice pub in Cookham for lunch.

Thursday 30th: Vaccines, Beirut, Mumford & Sons and Arcade Fire in Hyde Park.

Saturday 2nd July: Working my life away, had an ordeal getting to work as I was locked out of the office. Joy.

Thursday 7th July: Went to see Death Cab for Cutie in Brixton after trying to find a place to get Jamaican food and giving up.

Weekend 9th and 10th: Worked that weekend as well.

Saturday 16th July: Went to Notting Hill market and went right to the end in search of Moroccan whole cooked fish. Then went to Kensington Palace and did the very bizarre tour. Then we went to see Harry Potter in the cinema.

Saturday 23rd July: A very failed excursion through the Western suburbs of London to Golders Green to find Jewish food as it was the sabbath day. Ended up in Harringay instead and had Antepliler.

Tuesday 26th July: Faust at the Globe theatre. Amazing.

Saturday 30th July: Back to the Princess Victoria for a pork sharing platter and a couple beers, after going shopping down at the Westfield mall.

Sunday 31st July: Farewell drinks to Aisha in the back yard followed by a trip down to the Chatty pub.
